Sindh, KP governors, Murad call on Syedna at Taheri Masjid

KARACHI: Kamran Tessori and Faisal Karim Kundi, the governors of Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah and a delegation of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan have called on Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin at Taheri Masjid in Saddar on Sunday.

According to a press release, they were warmly greeted by Syedna, his family members and thousands of community members gathered there.

Syedna extended his gratitude to the Sindh governor and CM and the federal government for providing the Dawoodi Bohra community with every assistance and cooperation in making necessary arrangements for the Ashara Mubaraka congregations in Karachi.

Addressing the gathering, CM Shah said, “Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin’s arrival in Karachi is a matter of pride for Sindh. We welcome him and Dawoodi Bohra community members who have come from all over the world to Karachi for the Muharram congregation.”

Governor Tessori praised Syedna for selecting Karachi to host this year’s Ashara Mubaraka. “Along with Syedna’s prayers, the community’s arrival has had a positive impact on the economic conditions of the city,” he added.

Both the governor and the CM requested Syedna to visit the country next year.

Provincial ministers Sharjeel Memon, Nasir Shah, Saeed Ghani, Zia Lanjar, Karachi Mayor Murtaza Wahab and others accompanied the CM.

The governor was accompanied by senior MQM-P leader Mustafa Kamal, Dr Farooq Sattar, Aminul Haque, Anis Kaimkhani and Leader of the Opposition in the Sindh Assembly Ali Khurshidi.
