QUETTA, March 20: The Chinese Consul General in Karachi, Mr Sun Chunye, has said that the killing of his country’s engineers in Hub will not have an adverse impact on the Pakistan-China friendship.

He said his country would continue to help Pakistan in development projects.

He was talking to Chief Minister Jam Mir Mohammad Yousuf at a meeting here on Monday. “China gives special importance to its relations with Pakistan,” he said.

They discussed various projects in Balochistan and protection of Chinese engineers working in the province.

“Despite the tragic incident in Hub, China will extend its full support and cooperation in development of Pakistan and mutual cooperation will be further promoted,” Mr Sun said, adding that China would continue its assistance for the Gwadar port, Saindak and other projects in Balochistan. —Staff Correspondent
