PESHAWAR: Advice to teachers

PESHAWAR, March 18: Peshawar University vice-chancellor Professor Dr Haroon Rashid has said that a good teacher must know psychology of students. He was speaking at the certificate distribution ceremony of a six-day teachers training course at the University of Peshawar here on Saturday. The university and Higher Education Commission (HEC) jointly organised the event.

The vice-chancellor said that a teacher was a salesperson who should be able to sell commodities to people who needed it.

Dr Haroon Rashid opined that evaluation and reflection was important part of any training.

Prof Dr Mehr Bano, chairperson of the psychology department, Prof Dr Jehanzeb Khan and Representative of the Higher Education Commission Shafi Ullah Khan also spoke on the occasion.—APP
