PS gets Chinese machinery

KARACHI, March 18: A Chinese firm has handed over construction machinery to Pakistan Steal. The machinery has been provided by Cuangxi Liu Gong Machinery Company Ltd through international tenders as per procedure laid down by the Transparency International.

The handing-over ceremony was held here on Friday. Chinese Consul General in Karachi Sun Chunye, FPCCI President Muhammad Saeed and senior officials of Pakistan Steel and prominent businessmen were also present on the occasion.

Pakistan Steel Chairman Abdul Qayyum on the occasion expressed the hope that in future also China and its manufacturing companies would be Pakistan’s partner in development and expansion of the steel mills.

Earlier, the Chinese consul general termed the handing-over of the construction machinery a memorable event and hoped that trade cooperation between Pakistan Steel and Lui Gong Machinery would further strengthen and promote development of the mills.—APP
