GUJRANWALA, March 11: The double blind murder of two youths spread panic in Garjakh area where angry heirs and residents blocked traffic on the road after placing bodies of the victims on Saturday.

Reports said Liaquat, a resident of Rajkot, and Azeem of Pasban Colony, went missing from their houses and their families went from door to door in the city to learn about their whereabouts. Their bodies were found lying in fields.

Police recovered the bodies and removed them to the DHQ hospital for an autopsy.

The protesters took the bodies from hospital after postmortem and blocked the road near Alipur bypass intersection after placing it on the road. They smashed windowpanes of various vehicles and chanted slogans against police for not tracing the suspects.

The traffic remained suspended for hours on the road which was later restored by heavy contingent of police. Senior police officers, including the Garjakh SHO, reached the spot and assured the people that the culprits would be apprehended soon.

As the heirs deny enmity, the police are investigating the matter. — Correspondent
