KARACHI: Caretaker Sindh Chief Minister retired Justice Maqbool Baqar has approved an annual grant of Rs10 million for the next five years to support and expand the Healthy Athletes Programme of Special Olympics Pakistan.

The Special Olympics Pakistan is a non-profit organisation that provides year-round sports training and athletic competitions in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with an intellect which actively helps in promoting physical and mental well-being through the Healthy Athletes Program.

The caretaker health minister had initiated a summary to the CM.

The CM directed the health department to sign an agreement with Special Olympics Pakistan and release the funds of Rs10m during 2023-24 and onwards for the next five years.
