ISLAMABAD, Feb 2: Ministry of Kashmir Affairs has finalized various programmes to observe Kashmir Solidarity Day on February 5 in a befitting manner with a theme of “Kashmir: Justice Without Discrimination”.
Programmes were finalized by the coordination committee to observe the day to display Pakistan’s abiding solidarity with Kashmiris, waging the freedom struggle in Held Kashmir.
The day would be observed with an objective to peacefully resolve this longstanding issue and a real message should pass on to the international community through foreign media in this respect.
According to the coordination committee, the “Kashmir Convention” would be held in the federal capital on the same day with President General Pervez Musharraf in the chair under arrangements of National Kashmir Committee. This would highlight the nation’s commitment to cause of Kashmir issue within the country and abroad.
The day will dawn with special prayers after Fajr for the martyrs of Kashmir, successes of freedom struggle and solidarity with the people of Kashmir.
The foreign office would arrange a briefing for all foreign missions in Islamabad on the latest situation in Kashmir and all Pakistani missions abroad to organize functions in their respective countries.
In the Capital, the CDA would organize a solidarity walk at Jinnah Avenue. Kashmir-Yakjehtee show would be organised at Jinnah Avenue. In the show Pakistani and Kashmiri children would deliver speeches and present national songs. Kashmiri handicraft exhibition at Lok Virsa, would also be organized to include a playing of Kahsmiri songs, photo exhibition, display of publicity material etc.—APP
