PESHAWAR: Four militants were killed in an intelligence-based operation in Khaisoor, North Waziristan tribal district, on Saturday, the military said.

In a statement, ISPR said that security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation in Khai­so­or, North Waziristan district, on the reported presence of militants. The troops effectively engaged the militants’ location as a result of which four militants were killed including militant commander Ibrahim Musa, it said.

Weapons, ammunition and explosives were also recovered, it said. “Sani­ti­sation of the surrounding areas is being carried out to eliminate any terrorists found in the area,” it said.
