PR to purchase 600 container wagons

LAHORE, Feb 10: The Pakistan Railways has decided to purchase 600 container wagons to modernize its freight sector. According to a news release issued here on Friday, the funds for the purchase of fleet container wagons will be provided by the Islamic Development Bank, Jeddah.

It says that the Pakistan Railways will not include the tenders submitted by those parties that had boycotted the Organization of the Islamic Conference.

The news release says that the tender papers can be obtained at the rate of Rs500 or through a bank draft from the office of the procurement director, Pakistan Railways Carriage Factory, Islamabad.
