Policeman caught taking bribe

SARGODHA, Feb 8: The Anti-Corruption Establishment on Wednesday caught an assistant sub-inspector of the Cantonment police station receiving Rs10,000 from an accused.

According to reports, ACE provincial director general had asked the local staff to help Nazar Husain of Canal Park from whom ASI Hashmat Mahmood was demanding Rs10,000 bribe for cancellation of case registered against him.

Judicial magistrate Hafiz Ahmad Tariq-led party raided the house of Nazar Husain where ASI Hashmat Mehmood was already present to carry out the corrupt practice. He was sent behind bars.
