LAHORE, Feb 8: The Chief Minister’s Inspection Team has completed investigations against 300 officials of different government departments and submitted reports to him for further action.
This was disclosed during a meeting held here to review the progress of investigations against the government officials in the province with CMIT Minister Shuja Khanzada in the chair. Inspection team chairman Arsalan Khan was also present.
The minister called upon the members to complete the pending investigations at the earliest so that action could be taken against the corrupt officials. He said the chief minister had given a free hand to the team to proceed against the corrupt officials.
He said the CMIT setup was being expanded with its offices at regional level to redress grievances of the people. A summary had also been submitted to the chief minister for the appointment of five new members to expedite the pace of investigation.
He said a complete date of all the development schemes had been fed in the computer lab set up at the CMIT offices. All the development schemes were being monitored regularly and reports submitted to the chief minister for necessary action.
