QUETTA: Balochistan Governor Malik Abdul Wali Khan Kakar has called upon engineers to actively participate in Pakistan’s development and construction efforts. He emphasised that the provincial government can effectively harness the skills of engineers for the betterment of Balochistan.

Addressing the 28th annual general meeting of the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) on Sunday, the governor expressed his pleasure in witnessing a significant gathering of engineers in the provincial capital. The meeting saw active participation from engineers across Pakistan, including a substantial representation from Balochistan.

Mr Wali emphasised the importance of engineers’ involvement in renewable technologies and the power sector, highlighting the challenges faced by the province, particularly in addressing prolonged power outages in rural areas, which have adverse effects on agriculture.
