QUETTA: A special team of senior police officials set up to investigate the murder of Awami National Party leader Arbab Ghulam Muhammad Kasi on Thursday found no clue about his murder.

Police registered an FIR against unknown murderers after receiving the autopsy report from police surgeon Ayesha Faiz on Wednesday. The autopsy report has declared the incident a murder.

Members of the special police team on Thursday visited the crime scene again where the body of Mr Kasi was found along with a pistol and asked some people of the area about the incident, but no headway was made in the investigation.

Meanwhile, Provincial General Secretary of PPP Rozi Khan and PkMAP (Khushal group) Provincial President Nasrullah Zerey have condemned the killing of the ANP leader and demanded immediate arrest of his murderers.

The ANP, PkMAP and other Pakhtun nationalist parties have cancelled all celebration programmes which were to be held across the province on Friday in connection with the Pakhtun Culture Day because of the murder of the ANP leader.
