KHUZDAR: Unidentified armed men gunned down a schoolteacher in Wadh tehsil of Khuzdar district, on Monday.
According to the police, the teacher, identified as Javed Ahmed Lehri from the Government Boys’ High School, Sarona, was seriously injured when unknown assailants riding a motorcycle opened fire on him.
Lehri, who had sustained multiple injuries, was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries before receiving any medical treatment. The attackers fled the scene immediately after the shooting.
The motive behind the killing remains unknown so far. However, the police suspect it may be a targeted killing. An investigation has been launched, and a case has been registered against the unknown attackers.
No individual or group has claimed responsibility for the killing.
