TOBA TEK SINGH: Two women patients with the same name were operated upon wrongly at a private hospital in Faisalabad on Tuesday night.

Reports said the alleged negligence of the administration of Independent hospital located in Marzipura locality came to light when two namesake women were operated upon.

It was reported that the leg of the patient suffering from gallbladder stones was amputated. And the operation of the patient with leg disease was conducted and her gallbladder was removed mistakenly.

Faisalabad health authority CEO Dr Asfandyar says a committee has been formed to inquire into the matter. The district health officer (medical services), deputy district health officer (headquarters) and district drug controller will conduct an inquiry.

AUDIT: The grid safety audit (GSA) is in progress at Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (Fesco) and all safety measures are being ensured at the grid stations to protect the lives of employees and Fesco properties.

Fesco CEO Engineer Bashir Ahmad on Wednesday directed the respective officials to fully comply with the Nepra Safety Code 2021.

He said Fesco grid stations have been equipped with sophisticated machinery while CCTV cameras would be installed at grid stations.
