HYDERABAD (Sind): Crucial problems effecting Pakistan in general and Sind in particular and the right way to face and overcome these difficulties were touched upon by Mr Liaquat Ali Khan, Prime Minister of Pakistan, who is visiting Hyderabad, second city of Sind — situated on the banks of the River Indus. … The Prime Minister paid tribute to Hyderabad for being the first city in Sind to welcome the refugees and to help in rehabilitating them. He urged the abolition of all distinctions between Sindhis and the Muhajireen and said that Pakistan was meant to be the home of all Muslims of the sub-continent… .
[Meanwhile, it was also reported that] Six more allegations bringing the total number to 62 have been listed against the ex-premier of Sind, Mr. M.A. Khuhro, by the special counsel to the Sind special court of inquiry, Mr Parmanand Kundanlal.
…The fresh particulars submitted on Monday [June 7] allege that the ex-Premier misused the Sind Essential Commodities (Restriction on Export) Act, 1947 … and consequently, crippled the trade and business in Sind by controlling it to his own advantage.
