MIRPURKHAS, Jan 24: Sindh Chief Minister Dr Arbab Ghulam Rahim has said that all available resources are being utilized to provide basic amenities to people. He was talking to different delegations at the circuit house here on Monday.

The chief minister attended the wedding ceremony of Mairaj Mohammad Qureshi, son of his political adviser here on Sunday night. He assured utilization of funds for development schemes, administrative affairs and maintenance of law and order.

Dr Rahim said that short-and-long-term development works were started in the province and their results would appear soon.

He said facilities of drinking water, health, education, better drainage system were being provided in rural and urban areas and silts were being removed from canals and distributaries.

Mirpurkhas District Nazim Dr Kaneez Sughra Junejo, former MNA Kishan Chand Parvani, Asad Ali Junejo, Syed Khadim Ali Shah, Zahid Bhurgari and Jam Memon were present on the occasion.

He was speaking to journalists after his visit of the Gulistan-e-Mazoreen Centre being run under the Mirpurkhas Special Sports and Welfare Association on Tuesday. He was briefed about the progress of the centre.

He said that special persons at the centre will have a better future because facilities of computer training, typing, embroidery and handicrafts were available there.
