Houses demolished

MIRAMSHAH, Jan 18: Security forces demolished homes of eight tribesmen in Mosaki village in North Waziristan Agency on Wednesday, officials said.

The tribesmen were accused of providing shelter to suspected militants and Taliban elements in the area.

Army and paramilitary troops carried out a search operation in Mosaki village near Mirali at 12 noon. Later, they demolished the mud houses of eight tribesmen.

Some of those tribesmen were identified as Mohammad Sardar Khan, Abdul Latif, Mohammad Farooq, Saleem Khan, Wali Zad and Jana Roz.

Before demolishing the houses, security forces ordered shopkeepers in local market to shut down their shops.
