LAHORE, Jan 31: Nee Punhal defeated Musa Industries 9—4 1/2 while Nurpur beat Black Berets 5 1/2—4 Thursday to qualify for the final of the Junior Cup. For Nee Punhal young Usman Haye alone scored five goals, which included a hat-trick.

The final will be played between Nee Punhal  and  Nurpur  on Feb 2 (Saturday) at 3 pm. Earlier, the subsidiary final will be held between Musa Industries and Dew Drops at 2 pm.

Syed Hasan Raza Gillani scored a field goal for  Musa Industries. Usman scored two back-to-back field goals as Nee Punhal led 2—1 1/2 after the first chukker.

Usman converted a spot penalty to complete his hat trick. Hasan scored another field goal for Musa Industries. Haseeb Mehta scored to field goals for Nee Punhal while Usman converted a 30 yards penalty-hit and Nee Punhal were ahead 6—2 1/2 at the end of the second chukker.

Raja Sattar scored  only  goal of third chukker  for  Musa Industries on a 60 yards penalty-hit which reduced the margin  to 3 1/2—6.

Nee Punhal widened the margin by scoring three  goals  during fourth chukker as against one put in by Musa Industries through Raja. Haseeb scored his third and Usman his fifth. Rashid Ali Baig scored his only goal on a spot penalty to complete the scoring.

Nurpur had an advantage of half-a-goal on handicap. For Nurpur, Raja Muhammad Amir struck thrice while Tanvir Tariq  and Malik Asad Hayat scored one goal, each. For Black Berets Amanat and Lt-Col Talha Saeed scored two goals each.
