TAXILA: One person was killed and seven others were injured among in two incidents in Attock on Sunday.

In the first incident, a Rawalpindi-bound passenger van coming from Kohat overturned due to speeding near Bhall railway crossing on Rawalpindi road in the limits of Fatehjang police.

As a result, Hamza Khan lost his life while driver Fida Hussain, Nasir Shahzad, Sher Ahmed, Azmat Hussain and Shahzad Ali were injured.

Rescue 1122 teams reached the spot and shifted the injured to the tehsil headquarters hospital Fatehjang.

In the second incident, a couple sustained injuries after their car fell into a ditch on Hakla-D.I. Khan Motorway (M-14) near Pindigheb. According to Rescue 1122 and police sources said as the injured Shahzaib and his wife shifting to hospital in an ambulance it also met with an accident by colliding with a construction machinery working on the road. Later, the injured were shifted to Rawalpindi.
