HUM TV has produced iconic Ramazan dramas over the last decade like Suno Chanda, Paristan, Chupke Chupke and Hum Tum which managed to earn great success and entertain audiences throughout the holy month. Starting today (Ramazan 1), HUM TV will be airing two new Ramazan specials — Chand Tara and Fairytale.

Chand Tara

Produced by Momina Duraid Productions, Chand Tara features actors and real-life married couple Danish Taimoor and Ayeza Khan as Chand and Tara. The drama is written and directed by Saima Akram Chaudhry and Danish Nawaz — the duo that received major acclaim for Chupke Chupke and Hum Tum.

According to the channel, the story revolves around the character of Chand, a software engineer who’s fed up with his overpowering joint family and dreams of having some privacy and a calm life, and Tara, a doctor who longs for a strong sense of family bonds. The story takes an interesting turn when the two cross paths, leading to tense, funny and exciting situations that keep the audience engaged with its entertaining script.

The cast also includes Romaisa Khan, Aashir Wajahat, Adnan Jaffar, Saba Faisal, Behroze Sabzwari, Madiha Iftikhar and Rehan Sheikh. Starting from the first of Ramazan, the drama will air every night at 9pm.

Fairytale

Fairytale is another Ramazan special that will air on HUM TV, at 7pm, starting today. It is a satirical play that centres on the idea of a ‘perfect life’.

Produced by Momina Duraid Productions and directed by Paristan and Pyari Mona director Ali Hasan, the drama aims to show a humorous take on life, relationships, and dreams.

Written by Saira Majeed, Fairytale tells the story of Umeed, a young middle-class girl who dreams of living the life of a princess and is always trying to find ways to become rich quickly.

According to the channel, Umeed receives an invitation to a show that promises to make her dreams come true but she soon realises that there are no fairies or magical spells and everything comes with a hefty price tag.

Fairytale will mark Adnan Raza Mir’s television debut. The cast also includes Hamza Sohail, Sehar Khan, Ali Safina, Saman Ansari, Aena Khan and Saleem Sheikh.
