Shaheen Afridi is the name on everyone’s lips after last night’s Peshawar Zalmi versus Lahore Qalandars match in which the Qalandars decimated their opponents thanks in large part to five wickets courtesy of Shaheen, including one in which a bat was literally broken in two.
Coupled with Fakhar Zaman’s massive 96-run spell, there was no hope in sight for Babar Azam’s Zalmi on Sunday night.
Shaheen’s first wicket of the night was on the first ball and sent Mohammad Haris heading back to the dressing room with only half his bat.
Haris looks as shocked as the rest of us.
He’s on a very destructive roll.
His second wicket may have been the most devastating for Peshawar. He took out captain Babar Azam after just five deliveries.
It was a battle of two titans.
And something to behold.
Fans spotted some similarities with the last time he got Babar out.
People were still supportive of Babar though — he is the king after all.
His next three wickets were pretty impressive too.
