SUKKUR: Two passengers were killed and over 30 were injured when a speeding passenger coach overturned as the driver tried frenetically to avoid collision with a motorcycle on the Indus Highway near Garhi Larro in Kandhkot-Kashmore district on Saturday.

The coach was coming from Quetta and was taking the passengers to a religious gathering in Raiwind, Lahore.

The passengers one of whom was identified as Ehtisham Khan died on the spot and the over 30 injured some of whom were identified as Naimatullah, Sabir Ahsan, Siraj, Fida Hussain, Ghulam Haider, Khalid Ahmed, Abid Shah, Haroon and Abdul Ghuni were removed by the area people to nearby Ghouspur hospital.

They did their best to transport them on whatever form of conveyance was available to them including tri-wheelers, loaders and push-carts but they could not lessen their difficulties at the healthcare facility which lacked paramedics, beds and other facilities.
