PGF to host 21 events in 2006

KARACHI, Jan 10: Pakistani golfers would feature in 21 competitions at home during the first six months of the year starting with the 38th Open Golf championship of Pakistan which runs simultaneously with the Asian Tour at the Karachi Golf Club from Jan 19 to 22.

The programme was released by the Pakistan Golf Federation (PGF) after their meeting in the city recently.

In addition to the domestic tournaments, Pakistani golfers would also travel abroad to feature in International events.

Hosting of the US$200,000 Asian Tour after a decade was the most important event on the calendar which would open new avenues for Pakistani golfers besides promoting the game in the country.

Prime Minister Gold Medal (Rawalpindi Golf Club) Mar 24 to 26;
