BAJAUR: A woman and her two children were killed after a wall of a room of their house fell on them following a pressure cooker blast in Galjoo Kamangra area of the Nawagai tehsil here on Monday, residents and Rescue 1122 officials said.

They said that a pressure cooker exploded inside the kitchen, causing wall of an adjacent room to fall on some family members, critically injuring a woman and her two children.

The injured were taken to the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital, Nawagai, where they succumbed to their injuries while being treated for injuries, a Rescue 1122 official said.

He said that the woman was identified as wife of Taj Khan, while her children were identified as Usman Khan, 5, and Sana Bibi, 3.

The local residents demanded of the district administration to extend financial support to the bereaved family, whose owner was a poor man.
