Man shot dead in Gujr

GUJRAT: On Saturday, a Pakistani-Spanish man was shot dead near Chah Beri Wala in the Sadar Gujrat police precincts on Saturday

Abdul Wahab lived in Pakistan for some time and was in the compound of his house on Saturday when two gunmen travelling in a car shot him dead. The suspects fled, but their car was left behind, and the police took custody of it.

The deceased leaves behind two children and a widow.

On the basis of the mother of the deceased’s report, police filed a case against Waqas and an unidentified accomplice under section 302 of the Pakistan Penal Code.

The police began an investigation and raids were carried out to apprehend the culprits.

ROBBERIES: Up to Rs1.2 million was snatched in two robbery incidents. Three gunmen intercepted a loader vehicle in Chakora village of Kunjah police precincts and looted Rs625,000 from the driver. In the second incident, gunmen snatched Rs580,000 from Sheeraz near the Boley area of civil lines police precincts.

Also, two motorcycles were stolen in Alipura and Boley areas of Gujrat city. Police registered cases.
