PESHAWAR: Manzoor Khan Afridi was on Friday sworn-in as the 15th member of the interim Khyber Pakhtunkhwa cabinet.

Mr Afridi, who had been notified as member of the caretaker cabinet on Thursday, could not take oath as he was outside the country.

KP Governor Haji Ghulam Ali administered the oath to him at the Governor’s House at a ceremony, which was also attended by caretaker Chief Minister Mohammad Azam Khan and his cabinet members.

On Thursday, a 14-member caretaker KP cabinet was administrated oath by the governor after the cabinet members’ appointment was notified.

Apart from JUI-F, nominees of ANP, PML-N, PPP, Qaumi Watan Party and Balochistan Awami Party are part of the cabinet.

Besides Afridi, the cabinet members include Abdul Haleem Qasuriya, Adnan Jalil, Bakht Nawaz, Fazal Elahi, Haji Ghufran, Hamid Shah, retired Justice Irshad Qaiser, Khushdil Khan Malik, Mohammad Ali Shah, Sawal Nazir, Shafiullah Khan, Shahid Khan Khattak, Syed Masood Shah and Taj Mohammad Afridi.
