ISLAMABAD: Minister for Education and Professional Training Rana Tanveer Hussain on Thursday said that without revolution and innovation in the education system, the development and stability could not come.
Addressing at the inauguration ceremony of student facilitation centre and online attestation portal at the Secretariat of Inter-Board Committee of Chairmen (IBCC), the minister said that ladder of development of nations is education, “despite the economic situation of the country, education is the first priority of the government,” he said.
IBCC’s facilitation centre, according to an official statement, is equipped with modern facilities. It said that with the inauguration of online attestation portal students don’t need to visit IBCC offices.
Meanwhile, Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE) installed a self operated machine “kiosk” at IBCC facilitation centre, which benefits the students of FBISE while getting their certificates attested from IBCC. This machine was also inaugurated by the minister.
The statement said that students would not have to visit board offices for verification of their documents as after paying fee, they can get verification slip from the said kiosk.
Earlier, students will have to get their documents verified from board and they were supposed to provide verified documents in a sealed envelope to IBCC.
Secretary IBCC Dr Ghulam Ali Malah said that educated youth will lead Pakistan on the path of development, most of the country’s population is youth who have the right to be educated.
