Cashbacks on bills: KE partners with Savyour and Visa

Promoting a culture of bill payments through digital means, K-Electric (KE) has partnered with Visa, the world leader in digital payments, and Savyour — Pakistan’s only consumer reward platform to provide cashback to customers on paying their KE bills, according to a press release. This is an industry first in the power sector where a company offers discounts to all customers paying digitally via a debit or credit card.

Savyour is Pakistan’s first and only cashback app and rewards platform featuring more than 500 brands across various categories, while Visa is the world’s second-largest payment gateway for digital transactions.

The exclusive offer is available until Feb 28 to all KE customers with Visa debit and credit cards using the Savyour app. There is also no minimum limit on the bill amount to be eligible for cashback.

On weekdays, customers can avail 2pc cashback of the total bill amount paid via digital payments through Savyour and 4pc with VISA debit/credit cards with a maximum cashback of Rs1,600, while upto 10pc cashback can be availed on weekends with a maximum cashback of Rs2,100 with Visa debit/credit cards.

Martin Dow group launches scholarships for IBA

Martin Dow, the Multinational Healthcare Group in Pakistan, has launched another initiative for deserving students at the Institute of Business Administration (IBA) Karachi under the programme of M Jawed Akhai Scholarship seats.

Chairman of Martin Dow Group Ali Akhai met with IBA Karachi’s Executive Director D. S Akbar Zaidi to formalise the scholarship programme aimed at strengthening the legacy of the founding chairman. Under this programme, scholarships in the memories of M Jawed Akhai will fund the education of deserving students at IBA.

Expressing his views, on this occasion, Chairman Martin Dow Group Ali Akhai said, “Jawed Akhai, the Founding Chairman Martin Dow Group, focused on improving the quality of life of underprivileged communities and making sustainability a part of Martin Dow’s business model as per our core values. We are here to improve the quality of life for the communities we serve is a reflection of our belief in Creating Distinction for Life.”

We are taking this legacy forward by further enhancing the relationship with the IBA Karachi through the M Jawed Akhai scholarships for the needy, contributing to sustainable causes and building positive connections with communities, he added.

TPL Insurance enters the Metaverse

The 7th Parco T20 Cup opens

After the completion of six successful editions of the Pak-Arab Refinery Ltd (Parco) T20 Cricket Tournament, the company inaugurated the seventh edition of the tournament in a colourful ceremony at the Moin Khan Academy in Karachi, according to a press release. The tournament features Pakistan’s robust petroleum industry, with 12 leading companies participating in the tournament.

Shahid Mahmood Khan, Managing Director Parco, addressed the grand inaugural ceremony and shared his views, “I am delighted to inaugurate the seventh edition of this exhilarating tournament as the last Parco T20 Cup was held in 2015. The last couple of years were challenging not just for Pakistan but for the world. Despite challenges, cricket has always been a sport which brings people together and results in sheer joy. By reviving this tournament, Parco aims to strengthen our association as a fraternity and create opportunities for healthy engagements.”
