SWAT: Police have been directed to take all possible measures for smooth flow of traffic in upper parts and snowy areas of Malakand division to facilitate tourists coming to the region from across the country.

Regional Police Officer Sajjad Khan on Monday directed police to remain alert on the main roads so that passengers, tourists and other people coming from different areas did not face any inconvenience due to weather conditions or snowfall.

He issued these instructions to police in view of the recent snowfall and weather conditions in Chitral, Dir Upper, Swat and other parts of the area. He ordered them to maintain smooth flow of traffic on main and approach roads passing through snowy areas.

He also gave a message to the tourists to get guidance from the police deputed in the tourist resorts to avoid any unpleasant incident, problem or inconvenience. “Police personals will be present for the protection, assistance and help of tourists and visitors there,” he added.
