MITHI, Jan 30: The members of the Mithi union council have demanded of the minister and secretary for local government to revise the schedule of the unjustified and high taxes.

Through a resolution, passed at a meeting of the council here on Tuesday, the councillors pointed out that though the prolonged drought of the last four years had badly affected the business activities as well as socio-economic fabric of Thar, the former administrator, town committee, Mithi, imposed and increased about twenty taxes, by getting a notification issued in this regard, without formulating a sub-committee or fulfilling the other formalities.
