PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Haji Ghulam Ali has said that issues being faced by the people of tribal districts should be resolved on priority. He stated that apart from education and jobs, skill learning opportunities should be provided to the youth of the merged districts.

He said this during a meeting with a delegation from Bajaur district, which called on him at the Governor’s House here on Saturday. Former senator Maulana Abdul Rasheed led the delegation, which included prominent traders, educationists and other people.

The governor stated that there was a need to introduce such employment schemes in collaboration with the federal and provincial governments under which loans could be provided to the youth on easy terms.

The delegation urged the governor to take up the problems being faced by residents of Bajaur district with the provincial and federal governments. They called for resolution of security issues and provision of proper facilities in the health and education sectors besides ending power outages.

The delegation also apprised the governor of the problems being faced by the traders following closure of the Afghan border.
