LARKANA: A book titled Uho Ko Bio Faham (Truth lies somewhere else) by Zulfikar Ali Soomro was launched at a ceremony at Abdul Latif Nizamani Labour Hall here the other day.

Prof Mukhtiar Ahmed Samo, writer and founder of Knowledge Centre who presided over the book launch, said that Soomro had done commendable research on spiritualism and mediation, which took its reader through unconventional path to peace of mind and tranquility.

The writer had quoted profusely from Quran, hadith, poetry of Shah Abdul Latif Bhitai and teachings of saint philosopher Rumi to explain the basic philosophy of life and the desired code to lead it in a successful manner, he said.

He said that society could not attain collective peace unless the individual purified his soul. The book helped one attain self-identification and guided the reader to how to play positive role in society, he said.

Muzaffar Ali Soomro, commissioner income tax, said that no one was without worries, be he poor or rich, adult or child because people these days had lost track of happy life, which did not essentially depend upon material comforts only.

He said that salvation and inner satisfaction could not be achieved unless one followed the path described by Quran and explained by the Prophet (PBUH).

Prof Jahangir Abbasi said the book emphasised meditation and detailed its benefits. The book also rejected malpractices in society and encouraged people to make the society a better place by behaving positively, he said.

Imdad Ali Soomro said that the book was outcome of through research and deep reflection by the author. It defined true meaning of life and the best way to live it properly, he said.

The author said that he had written the book after many years of continuous research.
