BAHAWALPUR: A woman miraculously remained unhurt when during a drizzle lightning struck her at her house on Monday at Goth Lal on Adda Gawar Shah Road near Khanwah Sharif, about 20-km from here. However, some parts of her clothes were burnt.

According to District Emergency Officer (DEO) Baqir Hussain, the control room received a call and a team rushed to the spot.

He said the rescuers were told that Bashiran Bibi (65) was washing utensils in the courtyard when lightning struck her. Though she remained safe, some parts of her clothes were burnt.

She complained of pain in her body and the rescuers provided her with first aid, he said.
