SWABI: Two persons, who had recently returned from United Arabs Emirates, were looted at gunpoint in Shahmansoor village on Saturday night, the police said.

Registering an FIR with the Zaida police station, Ibrarullah and Mohammad Musa said they were on way home when two masked people stopped them, pointed the pistols at their heads and snatched Rs25,580 cash, 20 UAE dirham, debit cards and escaped.

The police registered an FIR and started investigations.

Meanwhile, the police on Sunday arrested a proclaimed offender and recovered two kilogrammes charas and ice drug from him.

DSP headquarters Farooq Zaman Khan and the SHO Swabi city police station said on a tip-off, they raided an area in Maneri Bala village and arrested the outlaw, Zeeshan Khan along with the contraband, a pistol and some bullets.

The police also arrested Samin Jan of Maneri Bala area for shooting at and injuring his son-in-law over a family dispute a few weeks ago.

Separately, the Razaar police arrested another PO belonging to Kalu Khan village. The same police also arrested two brothers wanted in cases of murder and attempted murder.

Also, a man was killed and another injured when they were fired upon by some people in Kalu Khan area over a family dispute.

DSP Razaar Ajab Khan said the police had arrested two of the three suspects in the attack.
