LAKKI MARWAT: The Bannu district administration plans action against the milkmen for selling low quality product to residents after laboratory reports revealed 34 milk samples out of 38 collected from different outlets were found substandard, an official said.

He said the district administration had collected samples of milk for laboratory examination after the residents complained they were getting adulterated milk in the bazaars, putting their health at risk.

He said deputy commissioner Aun Haidar Gondal had directed the step.

BODY FOUND: Bullet-riddled body of an army official was found near Khaisorwali area of Naurang town in Lakki Marwat the other day.

Police said Ikramullah, a brother of the slain identified as Arifullah, 27, shifted the body to the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital, Naurang.

They said the deceased posted to Jehlum had come to the village on leave two days ago.

Ikramullah told the police that on Thursday evening, Arifullah had gone to Kurrum River for a walk, but did not return. He said the next day he launched a search for his brother and found his body lying in a pool of blood.

He said his brother had been killed with a firearm.

Police said the body was handed over to relatives after fulfilling medico-legal formalities.

Shaheed Asmatullah Khan Khattak police registered a case against unknown killers.
