KARACHI: WB mission calls on CS

KARACHI, Dec 27: A nine-member World Bank Mission led by Dr Hamid Mukhtar called on Chief Secretary Fazalur Rehman on Tuesday. The Additional Chief Secretary P&D, Ghulam Sarwar Khero, Secretary Education Ghulam Ali Pasha, Secretary Malik Asrar Hussain, Secretary GASC Abdul Qadir Mangi, Chief Programme Manager of RSU Iqbal Durrani and Additional Secretary Naheed Shah Durrani were also present.

The chief secretary and the WB Mission members exchanged views on various schemes including the Sindh Education Information System, Sindh Primary Education Development Project, Sindh Agricultural Adjustment Credit, Education Sector Reforms and the RSU. The discussion also covered objectives of: improve fiscal frame work; improved access; improved quality; improved sector governance and management; and fiscal management.—APP
