KARACHI, Dec 26: The Muttahida Qaumi Movement backed Haq Parast Group’s candidates for town naib nazims have been elected unopposed in 11 of the 18 towns of the Karachi city.

Besides, Haq Parast candidates for taluka naib nazims were returned unopposed in Hyderabad city and Latifabad talukas of the Hyderabad district; said a press release issued here on Monday.

Those elected unopposed are: Ahsanullah (North Nazimabad), Nasir Taimuri (Saddar), Sohail Zaidi (Gulberg), Shahid Bashir (Orangi), Tasleemul Hasan Farooqui (Liaquatabad), Shakil Deccani (New Karachi), Asghar Qureshi (Korangi), Ali Akbar (Shah Faisal), Shoaib Akhtar (Gulshan-i-Iqbal), Sharafat Ali (Malir), Asif Hasnain (Landhi), Shibr Chishti (Hyderabad) and Shujauddin (Latifabad).—PPI
