NORTH WAZIRISTAN: The administration of North Waziristan tribal district has asked general public to register their non-custom paid (NCP) vehicles by October 15.

Officials said that the decision had been taken in the wake of surge in acts of terrorism in the district. It has been decided that non-custom paid vehicles, including cars and motorcycles, would not be given permission to be driven on the roads across the district. The police have been informed in this regard.

Under the new directives, local people would register their vehicles with the administration by October 15.

Sources said that the authorities had also decided to take stern action against militants’ families and their facilitators in the region. They said that the government would not only expel families of the terrorists from North Waziristan tribal district, but would also demolish their houses.
