SWABI: Two unknown motorcyclists shot dead a young man, identified as Fayyaz Ali Shah, allegedly on the orders of his ex-wife and her husband over a house dispute here on Thursday, said police.

Humayun Shah, a resident of Zaida village, told police that his brother Fayyaz got married to Anam Bibi in 2010, but later he divorced her when their relations deteriorated. Later, she married Saddam Hussain of Tordher village.

The police have registered an FIR against Anam Bibi, Saddam and two unidentified motorcyclists.

Meanwhile, people blockedroad to traffic after a seven-year-old boy was injured in Jehangira village when a tractor trolley taking sand from the area hit him on Thursday.

The protesters demanded of the authorities to stop the contractors from taking sand from the area illegally.

The tractor driver escaped, leaving the injured boy in a serious condition. The boy identified as Shafiq Khan was taken to Bacha Khan Hospital Complex by the locals.

Addressing the protesters, Mohammad Salman, a member of Jehangira union council, said tractor trolleys had already damaged the boundary walls of houses and electricity poles in the streets.

Other speakers said they could not sleep because the illegal shifting of sand continued for the whole night from Azeem Garhi area of their village.

Later, they were assured that an FIR would be registered in Jehangira police post against the driver and he would be arrested.
