KARACHI: A septuagenarian and a young man were gunned down in different areas on Saturday, police said.

They said that the first incident took place in Sohrab Goth.

The police added that Reham Dil, 70, was shot by unidentified persons near an eatery in Machhar Colony. He suffered critical bullet injuries and was transported to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH), where doctors pronounced him dead on arrival.

The police attributed some personal dispute as a probable motive for the killing.

In another incident in Orangi Town, a 40-year-old man was gunned down.

The Pirabad police said that Zainul Abideen was killed by allegedly by his friend, Shamsul Huda, near the Faizan General Hospital.

The police said that a personal dispute between the two friends led to the incident.

The body was shifted to the ASH to fulfill medico-legal formalities.

Meanwhile, a 30-year-old man, identified as Saad Saleem, was shot at and wounded by armed robbers over resistance resistance in Surjani Town.

Also on Saturday, two suspected robbers, identified as Amir and Shabbir, were arrested after an alleged encounter in Buffer Zone. The Shaheen Force recovered a snatched motorbike and pistol from them.
