LAHORE: Chief Minister Parvez Elahi has approved special allowance for traffic wardens and highway patrolling police that will be equal to the like amount given to the Punjab police.

The CM also allowed recruitment against 142 vacancies in the Punjab Forensic Science Agency and sanctioned special allowance for local government employees from BS-01 to BS-19.

A principle approval has also been given for hiring against 19,000 vacancies for minorities in various departments.

He gave these approvals while presiding over the third cabinet standing committee for finance and development meeting at the CM office on Friday.
