English singer and songwriter Harry Styles canceled his concert in Copenhagen because of a shooting that happened at a mall nearby the venue on the day of his performance.

On Sunday, the singer called off his concert in light of a tragic incident that took the lives of three people and injured several others, according to Al Jazeera. An armed man started shooting in multiple locations inside Field’s, one of the biggest shopping malls in Scandinavia, located in the Danish capital.

"I’m heartbroken along with the people of Copenhagen. I adore this city. The people are so warm and full of love. I’m devastated for the victims, their families, and everyone hurting. I’m sorry we couldn’t be together. Please look after each other. H," the 'As It Was' singer tweeted on Monday, expressing his solidarity with the people of Copenhagen.

A 22-year-old Danish man was arrested over Sunday’s shooting and charged with manslaughter. Shortly after, the Denmark police released an update saying the suspect had mental health issues. “Our suspect is also known among psychiatric services, beyond that I do not wish to comment,” Copenhagen police chief Soren Thomassen told a news conference on Monday.

The suspect had seemingly acted alone, though Thomassen added that it was too early to tell if there was any involvement of other people.

“Denmark was hit by a cruel attack on Sunday night. Several were killed. Even more wounded. Innocent families shopping or eating out. Children, adolescents and adults,” Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen released a statement on Sunday.

“Our beautiful and usually so safe capital was changed in a split second,” she said. “I want to encourage the Danes to stand together and support each other in this difficult time.”

Fans told the 'Watermelon Sugar' singer he did the right thing and prayed for safety.

It is still unknown if Styles’ Love On Tour will reschedule the concert date in Copenhagen. He will next perform in Paris on July 5.
