NEW DELHI: “Apart from the fact that Baluchistan can only exist in Pakistan politically, geographically and economically, it will be in the interest of the people of Baluchistan to join the Pakistan Constituent Assembly for it is Pakistan alone that can help them in their educational, social, economic and political uplift,” says Qaed-e-Azam Jinnah in a statement to the Press on Wednesday evening [June 25].

The Qaed-e-Azam assures the people of Baluchistan that in Pakistan all classes and interests will get even justice and fair play and hopes that the people of Baluchistan will not be misled by the propaganda of the enemies of Pakistan pitting class against class and one particular interest against another.

[It was also reported from New Delhi that] “Pakistan” will be superscribed on the existing postage, revenue and other stamps for use in the Pakistan Dominion, it is learnt. The designing of new stamps for Pakistan will be shortly taken in hand. As regards the currency in Pakistan, it is understood that arrangements similar to those existing till recently between the Reserve Bank and the Burma Government will be made. Gradually, however, the Pakistan Government will have its own currency.
