TAXILA: Body of a man was found from a deserted place in Fatehjang police area on Friday.

Police sources said that some passersby spotted the body and informed police who shifted it to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital for autopsy.

The body could not be identified till filing of this report. Meanwhile, a man shot and injured Hashim after exchange of hot words over some petty dispute in Wah Cantonment and fled away.

Respective police have registered separate cases and launched further investigation.

Bakery sealed

The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) sealed production unit of a bakery in Hassanabdal for being unhygienic. A case has also been registered against its two owners.

Food officer Afshan Javaid told newsmen that the owners of the production unit were repeatedly issued notices to improve the hygienic condition of the unit.

Besides, they were also asked to use quality food colours but they ignored their notices.

She said the authority’s was left with no option but to register a case against owners for further legal action besides sealing the unit.
