KARACHI: Karachi defeated Hyderabad by eight runs to win the seventh Inter-divisional Women’s Softball Champ­ionship at the Public School, Hyderabad.

In the final of the event held under the auspices of the Sindh Softball Association (SSA), defending champions Karachi outclassed Hyderabad in all departments of the game.

Hyderabad scored one run in the first innings. In reply, Karachi totalled four.

In the second innings, Hyderabad could not score any runs while Karachi in their second innings earned five more to win the decider comfortably.

Sabin, Mursaleen and Farasha scored two runs each for Karachi. Tulsi Meghwar scored one run for Hyderabad. Zarlash Shakeel of Karachi was declared the player of the final.

Earlier in the third-position match, Larkana defeated Sukkur 9-4.
