PESHAWAR: The higher education department on Friday notified the appointment of vice-chancellors to five public sector universities in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Each vice-chancellor has been appointed for a period of three years under the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Universities Act, 2012.
Dean faculty of biological sciences, Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad, Prof Safia Ahmed has been appointed as Vice-Chancellor Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Women University, Peshawar, according to a notification.
Prof Mohammad Shahab of department of zoology, Quaid-i-Azam University, has been appointed as Vice-Chancellor Shaheed Benazir Bhutto University, Sheringal Dir Upper.
Pro-Vice-Chancellor, University of Swat, Prof Hassan Sher and chairman department of biology, University of Haripur, Prof Shafiqur Rehman were appointed as VCs of University of Swat and University of Haripur, respectively.
Through another notification, the higher education department also appointed Pro-VC University of Malakand Prof Rashid Ahmed as VC of the same university.
