(EDITORIAL) The Pant Ministry is dead-set on establishing Ram Raj in U.P. by Muslim-baiting. More and more of what the U.P. Congress Ministry proposes to do in relation to the Muslim minority in that province is coming to light and causing grave apprehensions… . We commented the other day on the campaign of slander, vilification and false allegations against the Muslims and their national organisation started by the Speaker of the U.P. Legislative Assembly. The speech revealed the machinations and designs of the Hindu mind at its worst but what has really stunned … [is] the astonishing fact that the U.P. Congress Government has not yet seen its way even to take notice of Mr. Tandon’s mischievous campaign much less to take action against him for his inflammatory oratory.

If, however, a responsible dignitary of U.P. is loud in his denunciation of the Muslims there are brains silently working in the U.P. Government Secretariat on schemes to bring about the elimination of the Muslims from all walks of life in the Province and to render those in key positions in the Government, who have survived the vindictiveness of the Congress regime totally incapable of creating any “mischief”.
