LAHORE: Newly-posted Additional Chief Secretary, Punjab, Abdullah Khan Sumbal has proceeded on ex-Pakistan leave.

Mr Sumbal was serving as Planning and Development Board chairman and actively managing the release and utilisation of development funds across the province. He could serve as a vital resource in the making of the next Punjab budget.

Additional charge of the ACS Punjab has been entrusted to ACS (Home) Syed Ali Murtaza in additional to his own duties. The Punjab government also revised its May 21 transfer and posting orders and changed deputy commissioners of Sargodha and Okara.

Sargodha DC Muhammad Asghar has been transferred and posted as Punjab Education Sector Reforms Programme PMIU project director against a vacant post. Okara DC retired Capt Muhammad Ali Ijaz has been transferred and posted as Communication and Works department deputy secretary against a vacant post. He shall also hold the additional charge of the post of additional secretary (admn) C&W in addition to his own duties for a period of three months or till the posting of a regular incumbent.
