LARKANA: A man resorted to firing into the air at a wedding ceremony leaving three children wounded, one of them seriously, in an area falling within the jurisdiction of the Rehmatpur police station here on Sunday.

The man was identified by the hosts as Ali Gul Chandio, who was taken into custody by the police.

The wounded children, Sanaullah Magsi, 6, his cousin, Yar Mohammed Magsi and Sharafuddin Chandio, 5, were admitted to the Chandka Medical College Hospital, where condition of the latter was stated to be critical.

Rab Rakhio Mugheri, father of bridegroom, told police that aerial firing by Chandio caused panic and chaos forcing people to run helter-skelter.

The police arrived at the venue and picked up the suspect for interrogation.
